Funding Finder – Active Together

There are a number of local, regional and national sources of funding available for clubs/groups, facilities, talented individuals and coaching. Use this Funding Finder to identify the most suitable funding schemes.

From Bowls England

For Clubs... General Funding, Development Loans and
Green Loans are al lavailable from Bowls England.

For Individuals... Bursaries for any Coach Bowls (Activiator, Level 1, Level 2, Level 3 Courses are available.

Coaching Bursary 

The Bowls England Coaching Bursary - offers affiliated members 50 per cent of the cost of recognised Coach Bowls courses.
Any individual affiliated member of Bowls England may apply for financial assistance for up to 50 per cent of the cost of the course. Applicants must be at least 17 years old, and for Coach Bowls Level Two courses and above applicants must hold a recognised Coaching Certificate. Each application must be supported by the applicants club and the appointed administrator of the relevant County Association that is affiliated to Bowls England.
The criteria enables two members of any affiliated club to apply for a bursary within any two year period – meaning that two members of the same club wishing to attend the same course can apply for funding support.

Local Authority Funding - All applicants are encouraged to contact their County Sport Partnership or Local district Council for details on additional funding that may be available to cover the cost of a Coach Bowls course, either in full or in part, this funding can be dependant upon yours or your clubs post code.

Bowls Leicestershire Bursary - If you can not apply to the above two sources Bowls Leicestershire has now made available its own bursary, run on similar lines to the Bowls England one, with a maximum limit of £50
